Evaluating Countering Small Unmanned Air Systems - UK MOD Industry Day

The UAS CDC will host this initial engagement with a view to inform Industry of the agreed MOD strategy for C-sUAS technology assessment and employment. Objectives of the day will include, but not be limited to:

  • Stakeholders and Sponsors;
  • The approach to C-sUAS technology Evaluation;
  • C-sUAS technology priority areas;
  • Programme time lines;
  • Evaluation outcomes and actions;
  • The Commercial Model for Rapid Procurement.

UAV Technology

The two-day event brought together a community of experts to share information and strengthen relationships reflecting the growing need of nations, armed forces and industries to come together in order to achieve higher levels of capabilities. It was the only European conference focused on the procurement and development of UAV and counter-UAS capabilities globally.

Army Warfighting Experiment 2018

The Army Warfighting Experiment of 2018 was named Exercise Autonomous Warrior. The exercise saw four weeks of combat trials, experimentation and simulation with prototype unmanned aerial, unmanned ground vehicles and supporting software aimed at reducing the danger to troops during combat.

ADS Drone Platform and Counter-drone (ADS DPAC) Full Group Meeting

The Drone Platform and Counter-Drone (DPAC) Special Interest Group is for ADS members who are engaged in or have an interest in all aspects of remote control and autonomous platforms operating across the land, sea and air environments, including build and operational technology, legislation, training, and countermeasures. As the systems approach also includes operational use and payloads, the group interacts with a wide range of stakeholders across industry and Government, as well as other special interest groups within ADS.
